About DIPLOMA IN PHARMACY EXAM COMMITTEE

Jharkhand State came into existence on 15th November, 2000. After the formation of Jharkhand State from Bihar, the "Diploma in Pharmacy Examination Committee" was established by the Government of Jharkhand to oversee the conduct and management of Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) examinations across the state. This committee operates under the Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare Department, Government of Jharkhand. It is responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of examination processes and maintaining academic standards for over 108 D.Pharm colleges in the state. The committee is constituted under the relevant provisions of the Pharmacy Act, 1948, with representation from various stakeholders including government nominees, academic professionals, and ex-officio members. It ensures compliance with educational and ethical guidelines while fostering a robust system for pharmacy education in Jharkhand.

  • To conduct fair and transparent Diploma in Pharmacy examinations across all affiliated colleges in Jharkhand.
  • To maintain and enhance the academic and administrative standards of D.Pharm programs.
  • To ensure compliance with the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) regulations.
  • To provide timely results and certificates to students.
  • To promote the professional and ethical development of pharmacy education in the state.
  • Organizing and managing the schedule for D.Pharm examinations.
  • Ensuring proper evaluation of answer scripts and declaring results on time.
  • Monitoring and inspecting affiliated colleges to ensure adherence to prescribed academic norms.
  • Addressing grievances and disputes related to examinations and academic management.
  • Collaborating with other educational and professional bodies to improve the quality of pharmacy education.
